This is one of my favorite pictures from a storm chase outing last year. My girlfriend and I were wrapping up a rather uneventful day of storm chasing north of Oklahoma City. The storms that day had been unimpressive and we were about to call it quits and head home. That's when we encountered this gorgeous display of color. The sun was setting and rain clouds were sweeping across the sky.
The landscape provided the perfect opportunity to capture an image I've been wanting for a long time: a road that disappears into the horizon. I call it The Journey. All of us are on one. We can't quite see over what lies over the horizon. We can be confident, however, that God knows and will guide us along the way. While waiting for the destination, we are to enjoy the journey.
